Pre Government Shut down PARTY!!!!

Ok so with all that was and is going on with the government shut down was just crazyness. Yes, I know this is important thing going on especially for us Military members...But we heard soooo many wives complaining and calling to find out what to do. For me I wasn't going to put it out there that I thought it was stupid and blah blah blah.... Yes, I was worried, but the thing is what can I do? I can't change what they are going to do. I can't go back in time and save enough money because I knew this was going to happen. I can't march my butt to the White House and DEMAND them to give us our paycheck. Its just not going to happen. So for me I was just preparing us for the worse but hoping for the best.
So with all this....A couple of my friends and I decided to make some fun of it all! That we did! We has so much fun! Our night included some great girl time, some drinks, food, and LT DAN band (amazing) Oooo and of course pictures! Yes, I am sharing them with you! We had blast at the concert! Our husbands were all in the field so we enjoyed calling and singing to their voice mails! they all thought we were crazy! =)

Ok so here our the pictures I hope you enjoy them!
Outside the Commissary. BOO Shutdown!

Our food and drinks for the night

Ready...Set....

....Go...our shots of the night

Lt. Dan Band = Amazing

Love these girls

Bust a Move!

Bust a Move!

Yes, we picked a good night to wear NO make-up and not do our hair!

This guy touched our hearts. He was crying during a song so we all went and hugged him. He lost his son to this war not even a year ago ='(

Our walk home was fun! We stopped to get some pictures of us playing on the play ground!

Getting Wrapped Up

These past days I have come across a couple of articles regarding Marine Cpl. Chad Wade. I follow Katie Wades Blog here it is Wade's World . What all of Military spouses, and family fear and hope will never happen has happened to her. She has lost her best friend. Her soulmate. She has lost everything she known. She lost her wonderfull husband to this crazy war. Reading her blog your heart hurts for her. I could never know the pain she feels or the lonelyness she is going through. I think you should all read her blog and also the article published in Stars and Stripes about her. Here is the link to that.Katie's story .

It has just made me realize that we all get wrapped up in our own life, our own little world. We tend to forget that there are fellow "Family" losing their loved ones. It makes me appericate everything I have. It makes me so thankful that I have my husband, my best friend, my soul mate! Something I have taken from reading her blog is that she wants other people to love who they love with all they have. She wants us to live our lives. She is amazing women. So strong and I dont even know her personally. It's a very heart warming story but its not just a story its Reality! It's her life! It's many others lives as well. So take some time to read it. You might cry, I know I did. Also take the time to tell your loved ones you love them and appericate them. Don't forget we are the lucky ones.

The things that go wrong when they aren't around.

As I said earlier the hubby is off training in the field for 6 days. Today is day 2 and well of course wouldn't you know something went wrong. Isn't this always the case? When they leave and you aren't able to call or get in touch with them. It seems that way for me anyways! So anyways I woke up this morning freezing my butt off. Yep, the heater has stopped working. It wont kick on. AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!  I called the realtor and waiting to hear from the heating company. I am praying that they will come today otherwise I will be freezing again in the middle of night. Even though its going to be close to 70 degrees today doesn't mean it stays that nice at night. It still gets pretty cold at night. The thermostat has only got 1 degree warmer since I got up and checked it at 7 am this morning. At 7 am it was 55 degrees right now at 10 am its 56 degrees. Ooo what a start to my day. I hope the rest of the week will be better and also hope this isnt how deployment will be!

Busy Weekend

What a weekend! We have been so busy. I am not sure if I enjoyed it or not. Ok that's a lie I did enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Friday the hubby had this thing they call "right of arms." I have never heard of this until here. Anyways its a night where the NCO's all go out and I guess "bond." Wives are usually not allowed at these events. At least for the first 2 hours anyways. I don't know if I agree with this but at the same time it doesn't bug me that much. So while he was "bonding" I was spending time with my bestie Leslie and her son Tyler! I love spending time with them! We just consider them family =) I think I had better time but that's just my opinion ;)

Saturday the hubby went golfing with one of his friends early in the morning. I was suppose to go to a birthday party, but got so caught up in trying to get as much done before the hubby, the Dillon's, and I headed to Denver. We went to Denver for stock car racing and then we ate at Toby's Keith I Love This Bar. I was so disappointed in this place =/ I am not even going to get into everything that I was disappointed in.

Today (Sunday) was an early morning for us. We got up and got ready so we could head up to Greeley to our friend's house. Their son turned 10 today. We were more than happy to make the 2 hour trip to help celebrate! The Hackett's were the first couple we ever met in the Army. They are also like family. Even though Dereck is now out of the Army. We still stay in touch and we love them to death. We had to leave earlier than we wanted to because Colorado's weather is just a bit crazy. Saturday it was in the 80's and today it started snowing and was 32. What the heck!!!

Pogi Bait

After we got back we headed to the commissary to get the hubby food for the field. He is getting ready to go out Monday for 6 days. The commissary was a joke they didn't have anything in stock ok well anything I needed. So we had to make a trip to great ol wally world. Finally after that we came home started some laundry and sat down and relaxed. Now he is packing his bag and I am finishing up this post. I hope you all had a great weekend!

vent session!

I don't even know where to start. As I have said in previous post that the hubby is getting ready to deploy. I know I cant say too much so I am going to try to vent with in reason of the "rules"

OK I really my mind is so over the place someone please help me figure out where to start. Should I really even be kind of worked up about it. I feel like I shouldn't be. But I am so here I go......

This deployment crap has been the worse run around ever. One day they are going here and doing this the next week they are no longer going there and not doing what they were going to do. They are being trained for stuff other then what they usually do. It sounds like they will be doing MP (Military Police) work when HELLO they are not MP's! If you need people over there to do so called "MP" work send MP's! They have been trained for that not the people who never have been. I don't really know. I know that my husband is worried some for the fact they aren't being told anything. I think he would feel better if he knew what was going to be happening. He would feel better knowing that he is getting the right training, in which, he doesn't know because they haven't been told what they will be doing or where they are going.

Like I guess I can't really vent in this post because like I have said a million times my wind is all over the place. I am not having complete thoughts. Ugh...I don't even want to post this but I am going to.

Sorry this is all over the place and probably makes no sense what so ever.

Deadly terms used by a woman.

DEADLY TERMS USED BY A WOMAN. (1) FINE -this is the word women use to end an argument when they know they are RIGHT & YOU need to SHUT UP. (2) NOTHING -means SOMETHING & u need to be WORRIED (3) GO AHEAD -this is a dare not permission DO NOT DO IT. (4) WHATEVER -is a woman's way of saying FORGET YOU. (5) THAT'S OK -she is thinking long & hard on HOW & WHEN you will pay for your mistake.

I seen this on facebook and I just loved it so much I had to share it. Alot of these are just sooo true! =)

ENJOY!

Activities Coordinator = New Adventure

So I have decide I would be brave and volunteer with the FRG. For my non-military followers: FRG is "Family Readiness Group." This is a group that supports the family of the soldiers. I think it will be fun and it will keep me busy during the upcoming deployment. I am very excited to be the activities coordinator for the FRG. This will be something new for me. Something I have never done. I am sooo looking forward to it. I think I am going to Love it!

Do any of you volunteer with the FRG? Have you thought bout maybe volunteering? Or maybe have you had a bad experience with the FRG?
